Junior Group Quick Links: Training Objectives — Learning Objectives — Knowledge & Attitude — Competition Objectives — Equipment requirements — Practice Schedule — How to Move Up to Senior
Due to the rapid growth of the Typhoons, the Junior group has evolved into an introduction to upper level competitive swimming. In most cases, swimmers (ages 10 and up) in the Junior practice group have 3 – 4 years of competitive swimming experience or are entering a high school program. This is considered the preparation group for the Senior level (National focus) training group.

Junior group swimmers are expected to attend 4 in-water practices per week with at least 2 dry-land sessions attended. In-water practices range from 1.25 hours to 1.5 hours while dry-land activities are 30 to 45 minutes long. While in the water, swimmers can expect to range from 3800 to 6600 yards per practice.
