Dear Typhoons swimmers and parents:

Happy Holidays!

Applebees Fundraiser (January 2, 2010): Money raised will be funding the banquet.  We need 100% participation to meet our goal of paying for each swimmer’s meal and participation awards.

• The window for ticket sales is quickly closing and we need to hear from YOU in two days, by December 24.   Applebees requires a headcount 1 week prior to the event.  If you cannot find Kathy, please give the money and/or tickets to Coaches Kaitlin or Nicole.  You can also email Kathy Garner @ kathryn.garner@ubs.com, call @ 203-248-1982 or 860-616-9073, or send in the mail 100 London Drive, Hamden, CT.
• Many thanks to the following families who have purchased tickets or will be coming to the Applebees fundraiser: Allen / Vincent, Andoh, Bunton, Fontes, Fox, Garner, Hammerberg, Kaptain, Miller, Munstermann, Pagni, Rockwell, and Schrier.
• For those families who have NOT responded, this is a great way to earn volunteer points!
• As a reminder, each person will need to present their ticket in order to get served breakfast.  Kathy tracks all sold tickets so if you lose your tickets, she can double check and can help with replacement tickets if necessary.

Volunteer Points Tracking:

• Typhoons family volunteer points tracking document is attached.  The first page is the summary of how many volunteer points your family has earned to date. The second page is the breakdowns from December.  Please note that if you donated food items for our first HOME meet, you would have earned 3 volunteer points.  If you volunteered either as a timer or snack bar worker, you would have earned 4 points for the entire meet.  Food donation points are captured under the “Timers first half – December 12” column.  Snack bar and timer volunteer points are captured under the Timers heading.  If you feel that your data are not correct, please let me know (do not REPLY ALL please).

Swim Meets

• All of the meet results, schedule, directions, and practice times are online at www.typhoonswimming.com.
• Results for Waterbury, Wheelers, and our first home meet with Mystics have all been posted (http://www.typhoonswimming.com/meets/meet-results/).

I will not be sending out a weekly email next week because of the holidays.  The email notices will resume on January 5.
